Bio 12

Walking into this class on the first day i didn't know anything... Like nothing! But throughout the course i learned many things especially alot about the circulation system and the digestive system. My weak points where the urinary system i felt that was my weak point. Throughout bio 12 we've had many laughs and many times where we just sit and discuss a certain topic. I will miss this class so much but on the bright side im taking alot of information and facts with me!

Lungs

1. What is artificial lungs? and what is the role of it? Does it have a positive or negative effect?
     
      Artificial lungs are replacements of biological lungs, it is used to oxygenate the blood and remove carbon dioxide.

Interim Report - Biology 12

1. A time i felt really successful in class was when we drew the digestion system on our t-shirts. I was actually struggling to fit the whole system onto the t-shirt but i managed to pull through and make it happen without it looking crammed up. I felt super successful to have that done! Yay me :)

2. My work habits in class are fairly good, i do manage to get off task a bit due to most of my friends being in this class. My binder has two unfinished assignments one being the digestive system project kiman and i were supposed to complete and hand in and the other is the review booklet we got on monday! I will finish these assignments and get them in asap. But overall every assignment has been handed in.

3. Yes i have had the chance to work collaboratively with my classmates and it has been successful too. We do labs in groups and also mini assignments within our group of friends which is myself, Kiman, Baneet, Abbas and Prince. Its always fun to work together rather than alone!

4. For biology 12 my goal is to learn everything about the study of life and leave this class knowing it all. I also want to achieve an A for my finally grade in june. In order to get there I will attend every class and finish all my work with full effort.

Water Trick

Kiman and I believe that the trick was super dope, but it was defiantly fake. The water molecules are always slipping and sliding by eachother so there is no way that water alone could stay in a contained position with nothing else holding it together. We think that they might have added something to the water which protected its outer layer until it was touched. Gravity would have been pressuring down on the hydrogen bonds and interfering between the molecules causing them to break bonds and collapse. When we experimented something similar using a penny, we were not able to stack the water to a great extent it would collapse within a small amount of water drops. Gravity had a greater pressure on the water molecules than vice versa.

BIO 12!

Today was the first day of biology 12, and Im super excited because my teacher is no other but Mrs Phillips! and I have some of my good friends in this class including my bestfriend Kiman, shes dope :)

The reason I took biology this year is to mainly learn about the human body and have fun with the disections, I didn't really like biology 11 last year because learning about plants didn't seem to capture my attention as much as biology 12 does. Im overly excited to learn about the different parts of the human body and many other things Im unaware of. So far I have no questions but throughout the semester I know I will :) I hope this semester is dope! 

Final reflection

Get fit has been an amazing experience and i couldnt have asked for a better teacher than the fabulous Mrs Phillips! ;) I had the chance to meet new girls who have the same fitness goals as me. Over the semester we have done some pretty fun things and got the chance to go on some pretty fun fieldtrips. My fitness has increased drastically since pe last year and i noticed that ive been doing really well in the beep tests. Im sad this semester has come to an end, i still plan on continueing my fitness on a regular to maintain that healthy lifestyle. :)
